Chakra crystal healing's effectiveness seems to be in its ability to enhance other energy healing. Chakras are energy centers in one's body starting at the top of the head and going to the spine. Once opened, it can help us to live in balance. When Reiki is done at the same time that crystal stones are used, especially the stones corresponding to the energy centers or chakras, the Reiki seems to be magnified, increasing the energy and healing ability to the individual.
I place the crystal stones around the body at the chakras starting from the head. I use clear quartz above the head, amethyst violet color for the crown, sodalight indigo color for the third eye, lapis blue color for the throat. For the heart I like to use rose quartz pink color but you can also choose aventurine green color, for the solar plexus citrine yellow color or I use tiger eye, for the sacral chakra carnelian orange color, and for the root chakra I use bloodstone red and green color, but you can also use a red stone like jasper, ruby or garnet. During my work with this modality, I have found that clear crystals can be used at all the chakras as well.
I can check each chakra to see if it is open or closed with a pendulum. This allows me to send healing energy to specific areas of the body for adjustment and healing. I can also place the crystals so that they surround the whole person to balance and energize.
